[email protected] Reports & Reviews (1)

I applied to numerous jobs by different websites via Career Builder, LinkedIn, Indeed, Glassdoor, etc. until one day I received a message from someone by the name of Jude Bohac via text. I was told by him that my resume was viewed by Zendesk's HR department and that I was considered a good fit. I applied to numerous Data Entry Clerk positions at once so I thought it might've been a stroke of luck that I was actually considered for the job. He then proceeded to inform me that I was to do an online interview through either Skype or Microsoft Teams. I chose Microsoft Teams because I thought it'd be more reliable and he then told me to add the contact [email protected]. After I added him I introduced myself and the first red flag was that he introduced himself as "Mr Coleman Hydar, one of the hiring managers at Zycus", which obviously wasn't the original company I applied for. He then provided all of the job requirements and asked for my full name, cell phone, number, and where I'm located. He proceeded to go through more requirement and then asked for a long list of information including weird questions like full name and full address, what bank I operate with and if I had an issue setting up a new bank account affiliated with the company, and later asked if my bank had mobile deposit and how far I was from my bank(double red flag). He said that a check will be sent to my address and that I had to inform him IMMEDIATELY when I received it so the accounting department can properly inform me how to receive equipment for the job(triple red flag). In the days following the interview(it didn't last very long afterwards), he wanted me to check in with him every day until I received the check(I still haven't received it yet as of today). The whole ordeal weirded me out since I've never experienced this type of process with a job before, and it's my first time applying for a remote position, so I decided to looking up other peoples experience with interviews and even tried to contact someone from the company on multiple occasions. No one from the company has since contacted me, and the interview process is way different from what I experienced. I decided to experiment and see what would happen if I stopped responding and this "Coleman Hydar" person has not only repeatedly messaged me back to back, but has also harassed me with calls through Teams multiple times within seconds of each call, and even tried to use a different number to bait me into speaking to him which I've never responded and since blocked. Moral of the story is don't give out your information if they supposedly have your resume, check multiple sources, and DO NOT speak through a chat-only interview.
