A friend of a friend stated she had spoken with Srishti Gupta and was offered a job position for $33/hr at Bank of America - Exclusive BAC CLP - Sr. Treasury F&S Specialist. So I sent her an email and she responded via email with small details of the role.

Then I called her phone, I figured it’s easier to get details via phone than email. She asked a few questions and used the info I gave her and fabricated info on my resume and then asked me to complete an additional details form before she could submit my resume to the hiring manager at Bank of America - Juan Martinez (whom I’ve also reached out to via a Bank of America contact link).

Then she said it was a requirement for me to speak with her manager about the role. She then scheduled a Google calendar call with a Denzel Seth at 1:15p mst. The Google calendar email showed my number and copied his email. By 1:35p, I hadn’t received a call so I reached back out to her and she said “hang up because he told me he is just about to call you”. By 2:06, I hadn’t received a call and she text me stating I should have called him but I hadn’t been given his number. She then gave me a number and it was to a business in Chicago. I advised of same and 17 minutes later she text back and said my application had been submitted and her manager couldn’t call because he was in a meeting.

Now from a professional perspective, the recruiter shouldn’t make an excuse for another manager or fabricate resume information. Whereas the manager could have emailed me to tell me he was in a meeting but according to the Google calendar notice it showed Denzel Seth had never reviewed the email scheduled for the meeting.

I emailed both back and sent a text stating I was no longer interested in working with them on account of the lack of professionalism. Her response, “we hope we can work with you again on a future position”.
Scam or just Unprofessional?

I honestly thought this was a legit company… and I spoke with people mentioned in some of these and I filled don’t the paperwork not even thinking it could be a scam… they said I’d be working for Wells Fargo at the end of October making about $20 hr. What should I do?… I was originally looking at this site for different potential scam people.

Another lady contacted me in the same way, FUTURE POSITION AT fortune 500 company.... $50-90,000 per year. Remote work from home

A fake recruiter that goes by the name Junaid Diwan messaged me on LinkedIn saying "Job Opportunity with Fortune 500 company!!!", and asked me if I have time to meet a leading client!!! From the beginning, I knew that it was a little too eager to sound true. I then searched up about the background of Collabera and found out that they are a fake recruiting company. Watch out for people like them!!!

I was contacted via email & phone by female name Pranali Paunikar. She said she found my resume on jobsite Monster. She contacted me several times to discuss a possible job titled Accounts Payable Specialist with a company (PGE---Portland Gas and Electric) in Portland, OR., she said that the job was remote work-from-home, paying $24 per hour. She arranged for a Microsoft Teams job interview. A few days before the interview was to take place, I was contacted by Pranali; saying that she needed me to speak with another female her manger name Haarika Reddy. This young lady needed to speak with me to prep me for the interview, she contacted me via phone, after Pranali gave her my cell number. She informed that I would meet via "Teams" with Tina, Brain, & Lisa which I did on 6/28/21 at 2:30pm EST; 11:30am PST. The interview went on for about 30 minutes. On 7/2/21 I was informed I had the job offer, and I was pressured to 1st give my personal information via phone, but I refused. I inquired about a more encrypted secured process to fill out new hire paper work, they then just requested me to fill in the data in a regular email. Even prior to doing any interview, or even discussing what the job entail, Pranali was trying to get my SS# & DOB via phone, but I kept refusing. Then 2 other individuals Parkash & Harrika started pressuring me for my personal information. As the pressuring got stronger, I was lead to check the company's name on the ScamPulse.com site, when I saw where someone else had this same experience. Please be ware of the following names: Pranali Paunikar ---heavy Indian accent (973)-841-2220 [email protected]. Parkash Swain ---lite Indian accent (503)-821-0299 [email protected]. Harrika Reddy (580)-748-1505 [email protected]. I personally think I was about to be scammed, had I not look for the red flags throughout my communication with all parties involved. I believe the three individuals Tina, Brain, Lisa of the "teams" interview may have been a scam also. They were white caucasian race. Be careful world!!

I applied for a "job" and email this "recruiter" ([email protected]). And then very quickly I got a call (973-841-2245) from NJ but I didn't pick it up. I live in CA and I don't usually pick up calls outside CA. Then I got another call (415-728-0368) from San Francisco. I used to live in the area so I picked up the phone. The woman (named Pallavi D. Singh) with a very strong Indian accent claim her as a recruiter from Collabera and she saw my application. I was in the middle of the busy work so I couldn't think too much and told her to hold off. She asked me for my information, my resume and my rate expectation. I hanged her off and she called very shortly after and keep pushing me to confirm information. I told her I am busy and will get back to her later. She didn't ask for my SSN or address. She just asked for my resume and current location. She even has a Docu Sign file that required me to sign to confirming my information that no other agency can submit my resume for that job position. I was really in a rush at work and kind of just give her my resume just trying to get it off the table. I really regret it, I didn't think it through because I was under pressure and she kept pushing me. When I get off work I just didn't smell it right so I did a little digging on the Internet and found they are scams. I am really afraid that if I am in any kind of trouble. At least they don't have my SSN and address. I blocked the phone number and just hope I am not in any trouble. They need to be stopped! They are hurting good people! Someone should do something about it, they all need to be behind the bars!

The exact same scam happened to me today. First they bait you by posting a job with a reputable client on a reputable jobsite board. Then, if you express an interest, they have your phone number and call you asking for personal information.

I was stupid enough to fill out the last 4 digits of my SSN and birthday to some Indian woman, very hard to understand and pushy. They also called more than once. But when I realized this felt very wrong, I tried to call her back, then the company. No answer, no live person at all answered so I'm thinking the phone number originated from India and bounced to an Illinois phone number. I left many voicemails and emaiI messages to rescind the offer and remove all of my information from their database. So I let them know that I knew it was a scam and would report them to the BBB.

I also called them out by telling them I have 2 friends (which is true) that work at this reputable company and that I knew it was not a real job. That tactic seemed to work because she did email me and call me back to confirm they removed me from their database. I'm sure they only got back to me after I threatened them with a lawsuit and gave them my backup to prove no such job existed.

This was extremely upsetting to me. Upsetting because of thinking other hardworking people like myself just trying to get a job and they have to deal with something like this. I only hope it helps.
