The caller had my child’s name, my cell phone number, home street name and school information. Claimed he was from the College Board and will be mailing SAT CD and study materials on behalf of the school. Once student is done with the materials, we can return it within 30 days. The caller requested my credit card number as "collateral". If study materials are not returned within the 30 days, he said I will be charged for the materials. I told him to wait as I checked with my child, the caller then hung up. Only info I gave him was my email address and I confirmed my street name. He talked really fast and I felt rushed & uneasy about the call. I called the high school immediately after the call and they confirmed that it was a scam. The school may take action & file a policy report.
