Soon after creating a linked in account, I was contacted by Tamayo Blanco, a "recruiter" via text message to schedule an interview with Stephen Hewitt, the "hiring manager". The interview was to be held via Google Chat (red flag) at 8am EST and I was to receive a code via email to identify myself (red flag). During the interview process, he gave me the business' background perfectly, which made me think it could be legit. But when the questions started, I noticed several errors, and the questions were weird and did not make sense. Example, question 1.) Have you ever had any problems with peers? Are you a military veteran? 2.) What do you understand by Privacy and Code of Conduct? How would your colleagues describe you in 4 words?

I knew this wasn't right, but decided to go along with him. After being offered the position, he told me they would be mailing me a check for office supplies and a bonus for being a new employee. He asked for my full name, bank, email, phone, emergency contact, and full address. I asked for an official offer of employment and company letterhead for verification and I haven't heard anything back.

I received a text message from someone named Tamayo Blanco. They said they were a hiring manager at Collegium Pharmaceutical. I had been putting in applications so I showed interest. They sent me to google chat to speak with a hiring manager named Rapheal George. I did not give any information because it seemed fake. I went along with the interview being careful what I said. He said he wanted to hire me and asked for my address. I would not give it to him because I said I was skeptical. He told me someone from HR would email me and then I could give him my information. I emailed Collegium Pharmaceutical and they told me they did not work there and to report this interaction.

I am currently looking for a work from home position for employment and was contacted by someone claiming to be from collegium pharmaceutical. He said his name was Tyler Simmons and he was the “hiring manger”. We went through an interview process after having me download the telegram app. I was told they wanted to hire me for the job and I accepted, thinking it would be a great opportunity. So I filled out the tax forms and new hire stuff and I got this bad feeling in my gut that something just wasn’t right. So I contacted the email address to the actual company website and asked them about it and they said that no one has contacted me from their company and that I was being scammed. The biggest issue I have is that they have my SSN, DOB and personal information. Thankfully they did not get my bank account numbers and I did not deposit the check they supposed to have sent today but I’m still worried about my personal life being hacked.

I also received a similar offer yesterday. Supposedly by a recruiter filling a position at Collegium Pharmaceutical. They contacted me via text, which I thought wasn't normal, but hey now a days everything is online they gave me a verification code for the interview.
1st Red flag they asked me to download Telegram app, the interview would be held through there. Next day they offer me the position starting at $20/hr for training and $30/hr after training.
2nd Red flag the email received with the offer letter came from a gmail account if it was legit it would be through the companies email. So I asked and his response was: "You will begin to receive update from the company’s official email once training is completed and you have become a full member of the company"

I gave it about a million thoughts before sending my info. I even tried calling Collegium, but they don't answer. I figured I would search for scams and this is what I find my self with, crazy!
I am glad I found this.

I just received a similar offer supposedly by a recruiter filling a position at Collegium Pharmaceutical. They contacted me via text, which isn't abnormal being I've had a few employers/recruiters reach out via text before an interview or calling to see if I'm free to talk. However, they want to do everything via Google Chat and gave a verification code for the interview. Red flag is the Google Chat and email, if it was legit it would be through the company themselves. Also, I've been stuck in a job scam before, which I was really bummed the offer was fake for that job, and they use the verification code to keep your information separate from everyone else so they can use it later on down the road.
