I received a phone call with an automated message stating my apple id had been used in multiple transactions across seas. I then spoke with a lady named Leah agent I'd **** she told me. She then asked if I was traveling across seas, I replied no. Stating that I have an Android device and haven't used or attempted to use my apple id or cloud in about 10 years or more. She suggested that I refrain from making any online purchases including any personal information until the issue was resolved. She then told me she was going to transfer my call to apple support line, and then hung up on me. I called the same number back twice. The first time, Leah answered again but this time stating she was calling from Colonial Life Insurance and that I must be mistaken and hung up again. The second time I called back, a woman named Irish, agent id ******, and she also stated she was with Colonial Life Insurance and laughed when I explained the issue to her. She replied stating that Leah was a co worker there with her but could not transfer me to talk to her, nor was there anyone above her that I could speak to to confirm the business was true and not a scam. However, she then laughed again assuring me that it wasn't a scam and asked for my phone number and name to report the incident to someone higher in the department. When I confronted her about lying to me stating that there was no one higher than her, she replied saying they were all on the phone with other customers. This is a scam of some sort. Not sure what they can do exactly, but never asked for a credit card or payment or any personal information except my name and phone number.
