A lady posted it on Facebook, I messaged her I was interested. She then texted me explaining the job & gave me a code to text to a number on telegram. He explained everything & asked a few questions, nothing personal so I answered. He then offered me the job & asked for address email name & I was like umm sketch but okay. But then he asked me to send a picture of my ID through telegram & I said no, I prefer to an email. He sent me an email but it wasn’t a company email, just a random gmail. He also attached pictures of his ID. But I’m smarter than that so I double searched them on Google & that’s when I found that badge being used in other scams.

I RESPONDED TO A FB POST ABOUT A WORK FROM HOME POSITION. MESSAGE THE LADY THAT POSTED IT, SHE HAD ME INSTALL THE HANGOUTS APP AND GAVE ME THIS EMAIL [email protected] WITH AN INTERVIEW CODE. AT POINT A PERSON NAMED BERNARD STARTING TALKING TO ME. ASKED ME SOME QUESTIONS, TOLD ME THAT I WAS HIRE... ASKED ME FOR MY BANKING INFORMATION AND LOG IN, WHICH UNDER MY BEST INTEREST I DID. HE DEPOSITED A CHECK AND WHEN IT WENT THRU I WAS TOLD TO PURCHASE 3 PREPAID CARDS FOR $500 THEN HE ASKED ME TO SEND PIC OF FRONT AND BACK OF PREPAID CARDS. I WAS THEN TOLD THAT HE DEPOSITED ANOTHER $1000 AND I NEEDED TO PURCHASE ANOTHER CARD. I TOLD HIM THAT I WOULD HAVE TO WAIT FOR THAT MONEY TO HIT THE BANK, MY BANK CALLED ME TO INFORM ME THAT THE CHECKS WERE FRAUD AND I NEEDED TO PAY BACK THE $1200 THAT I SPENT.
