Thought I was talking to a comcast rep but was talking to a scammer about issues with my comcast account. Guy answered and said he was from comcast to help fix the cable, asked for everything, including checking account number because he needed money to reprogram the television. asked for 285 dollars. told me to cut the tv off, waited 20 minutes, turned the tv on etc. also gave him social security number, DOB and age. Called comcast and they did confirm that it was a scam. had to cancel card now information has been compromised.
