I had to file a Fraudulent dispute with my back to get my money back.
Still have not received my orders or a refund.
THIRD UPDATE RE MY HORRIBLE COMINO EXPERIENCE...
Following on from my two previous reviews regarding my horrible ordering experience with Comino Couture, company owner, Sarah Keable, continues to withhold my refund after agreeing twice in writing to reimburse me the $778.50 AU for non-fulfilment of two orders placed back in April, 2022. I have been chasing these orders for 6 months after repeatedly having my emails to the company ignored until a firmly-worded email I sent in late September was finally acknowledged by Sarah Keable. TERRIBLE, ALMOST NON-EXISTENT CUSTOMER SERVICE! At that time, she promised to escalate my orders and have them dispatched to me by mid-October and when this date came and went (still nothing had been actioned), I chased the company again for yet another order update, however, feeling so completely fed up at this point, I then decided to request a refund as waiting over 6 months for any order without being kept fully informed by the seller is totally UNACCEPTABLE AND UNPROFESSIONAL.
In response to the second review I posted here on Trust Pilot, Comino Couture left a reply for me to contact them on the supplied email address where they would supposedly provide me with assistance. A message from that email was then sent to me a short time later before I had even seen the company’s response here. The email sent to me was a pathetic, sickly sweet attempt at feigning innocence over how I could possibly be so upset with their company. Wow... Considering my documented experience here, it would not be out of the realm of possibility to suggest that any remotely intelligent human being capable of reading my reviews would be able to discern the crux of my discontent. For the second time, I provided them with my PayPal address to effect a refund but as of this writing, still no refund is forthcoming. A PayPal refund can be effected immediately, even if you have to wait several days for the funds to show in your actual account. PayPal will write to you and say that a refund has occurred. This hasn’t happened and my attempts to contact the company yet again to chase my refund have predictably fallen on deaf ears. Sarah Keable is a LIAR AND A THIEF at this point. There is no other conclusion I can draw unfortunately.
I have referred this matter to my local Police and my bank and both entities are making progress with my case after being contacted by them in the last 48 hours. I WILL receive my money back but not because Sarah Keable did the right thing by voluntarily refunding the amount owed to me. She will literally need to be dragged kicking and screaming to do what is morally and ethically right. Sarah Keable has no intention of refunding anyone for anything otherwise I would have already been reimbursed by now and that’s why I call her a petty criminal and a thief.
I PLEAD WITH YOU TO HAVE NOTHING TO DO WITH THIS COMPANY!l! You will end up going through the same experience I am if you do. This I can guarantee you. Don’t believe the positive reviews posted here for this company. I have outlined in my previous review why I believe these reviews are fake. Too many negative reviewers here are all describing the same horrible experience and we are the ones telling the truth, as are those unfortunate victims who have posted their experiences on the company’s own Facebook page (note that their Facebook page is frequently deactivated - probably to prevent new customers from reading the ever-growing negative feedback). It’s always the same story: no dresses (or poor quality dresses if they turn up at all) and no refund.
I urge all unhappy customers anywhere in the world to do what I have done: go to Citizens Advice UK online and search for the ‘Report a Scam’ page and contact them immediately. Citizens Advice are then able to compile a dossier of complaints and forward them to Trading Standards UK who have the ability to take legal action against a company and seek restitution for victims as well as potentially shut down a fraudulent business. Note that Trading Standards UK cannot be contacted directly by the public. You must go through Citizens Advice first. Please get in contact with them ASAP if, like me, you also have been scammed by Comino Couture.
I will post further updates here as they unfold. Thank you.
Thanks.
FURTHER TO MY REVIEW OF COMINO COUTURE...
I had previously emailed her stating that I know she has received my emails and those of others, and whether or not she chooses to respond is of little consequence to me as I will continue emailing her to remind her that she still owes me a refund of $778.50 Australian for orders she could not fulfil.
She wrote back to me requesting my PayPal address which I supplied her in my subsequent email. However, until the funds are safely in my account, I am under no illusion that this is a definite sign that she will actually refund me my money. Other reviewers’ experiences online do not fill me with a great deal of confidence. In this same email, she quickly assumed the victim role and tried to paint me as ‘the bad guy’, accusing me of insulting her which is simply not true. I did not insult her and never have. This is typical narcissistic behaviour. Apparently requesting a refund and encouraging her to do the right thing by her customers constitutes an insult in the year 2022. This woman has taken nearly $800 of my hard-earned money with no dresses to show for it, along with a pretty lethargic effort to initiate a refund and yet, I’m the big bad wolf? As I said, typical narcissistic behaviour.
A short time later, I was emailed by Sarah Keable again. Only this time instead of playing the victim, the tone of her email was angry and she actually accused me of saying something I never said (I have the email evidence to prove it), and resorted to unpleasant and unwarranted name-calling of my person. This also is a typical trait of narcissists. When they can’t manipulate you by playing the victim, they lash out and become exceedingly angry and quite nasty. (I wish I could post the screenshots of our email exchanges here.). When she emailed me for the second time, she also requested that I email my details (again) to an alternate email address for her company, so that whatever ‘department’ in her organisation can directly handle my case. Madam, you don’t have a ‘department’. Three people work for your company - yourself included. Big-noting oneself is another typical trait of your garden-variety textbook narcissist. I refused to send any more emails after having just provided her with the information she requested. I told her to communicate with her own team and start the ball rolling. It’s really that simple.
Anyway, if you purchase from this company, this is the sort of person you will be dealing with as you chase orders and refunds for the better part of the next 12 months. Fortunately, my psychology training has equipped me to deal with this type of personality and in no way am I backing down and neither should you.
I informed Sarah Keable that as of today, I lodged an official complaint about the fraudulent transaction she has perpetrated against me through the Cyber Crimes Unit of the South Australia Police. I will continue to post updates here as they happen.
PLEASE AVOID COMINO COUTURE!!!
It pains me to have to leave such a negative review for a company but based on my recent experience with this seller, I am left with absolutely no choice. CONSUMERS BEWARE!
On April 20th and 24th of this year, I placed two separate orders for a combination of nine dresses totalling $778.50 Australian (order numbers #46546 and #46616). All items were listed as 'made to order' which I fully understood and appreciated, so after a suitable period of time had passed, I began emailing the company to enquire as to the status of these orders and an approximate dispatch date. Over the course of several months using three different email addresses associated with this company, all attempts to communicate were ignored. In late September I emailed again and stated in no uncertain terms that this lack of response was totally unacceptable and unprofessional which finally resulted in a response from the company's owner, Sarah Keable. At the time of her reply, she claimed this was the first she was hearing about my situation which I find ridiculous and completely unbelievable because she is only running a small business. She offered me a flimsy excuse about my April orders somehow being "missed in production" and that she would escalate my orders and have them dispatched to me by mid-October with her personal guarantee to keep me updated throughout. This didn't happen. I did not hear anything from her and no dispatch email was ever sent to me around the promised mid-October deadline. Again, I emailed Sarah in late October requesting an update on the status of my April orders and heard nothing. I took to Facebook and left a polite but lengthy comment on her most recent Facebook post reminding her of my situation and requesting urgent contact. This comment was promptly deleted within a matter of minutes and I was blocked from commenting on the page. Fortunately, I screenshotted my comment which shows that I was polite, measured, and self-controlled in what I wrote so there is no logical reason as to why I should be blocked aside from Sarah's own attempts to hide the horrendous treatment I have received from this company from any unsuspecting potential consumers. Sarah Keable then contacted me on email to say that her "mum had died" as an excuse for not contacting me sooner. I offered my condolences and told her that my own mum had passed away barely a fortnight ago on October 8th, 2022, after a longstanding terminal illness and she should understand that the last thing a grieving person needs is to be chasing up unfulfilled online orders and dealing with the sting of having been apparently ripped off by an unscrupulous seller. I told her I no longer wanted the dresses because I am DONE with the delays, hassles, 'production issues', flimsy excuses and her false promises and requested a full refund to which she agreed. Since then, communication from her has ceased yet again. Considering that consumer reviews on here and other platforms indicate that there are people still waiting on orders and on promised refunds dating back to up to six months and longer would indicate to me that she is an untrustworthy and dishonest seller. I have contacted PayPal to report this seller even though we are now way past the 180-day dispute resolution phase for recovering my funds owing to the fact that I could not get in contact with her. Enough complaints will see Comino Couture booted off their platform and I encourage anyone having difficulty with this company and who have used PayPal to purchase from them, to report their experience ASAP. Through the ScamAssist and Card Fraud Department of my bank, I have also been advised to contact my local police while they investigate on their end. My local police can contact police in London to take the matter further. I will press charges if I have to. Living on the other side of the world is no barrier to me for receiving justice, such is the digital world we live in. I will absolutely take these steps if I do not receive my refund in the next few days. It does not take weeks/months to refund money - especially through PayPal. This is something that can easily be effected within 24 hours.
Sarah Keable of Comino Couture has no right to tie up my hard-earned money for this amount of time with no resolution to date and the barest of communication.
