Three days after the work had been completed, the entire coating washed off of our roof and had to be reapplied. This is not indicative of silicone. We have since been experiencing 2 different rooftop leaks. We reached out to the company as these leaks were stated to be covered by our 15-year warranty. They responded and attempted to patch the areas, but the leaks persisted. it is going on two years now and the leaks are still present.
We have reached out several times since, but keep getting the run-around and no one has come out to resolve the issue. Due to the lack of action on the part of the aforementioned company, we began looking into alternate companies to resolve the issue. Every company brought out to look at the roof has informed us that there was no silicone used on our roof and that it had been merely coated in an acrylic paint instead. We have also had an independent inspector come out and confirm that no silicone had been used on our roof.
Upon looking further into the company, the only online presence I have been able to find is two yelp accounts tied to the phone numbers they provided us. In looking up the website associated with the CSLB number we were provided, it led us to the website for Commercial Roofing Resources Inc. We reached out to them and their owner advised us that his company had never serviced our location and that he had no record or knowledge of us.
This leads me to believe that they were fraudulently using this business's CSLB number and conducting the work without a license. Given the information from subsequent contractors and inspector, I am also of the impression that the money that was supposed to be used for roofing silicone was pocketed and an inferior product was used instead.
