My friend applied for this position online, and was communicated with immediately. The "hiring manager" conducted the interview through instant messenger app "hang out" and hired her immediately. A check was received the next business day for $2450. She was instructed to deposit into her account and send a picture of the receipt. She did this, and the check never went through even though she was promised. When the funds were never distributed the company sent three more checks and told her there were issues with her bank. She was told the checks were sent in error and to discard 2 and deposit 1. My friend did this and the funds were never released, but $12 went missing from her account to which she was told by the "hiring manager" it would be refunded to her. My friend was asked to purchase the software needed to begin training, $500. When my friend told them she couldn't afford it, they asked her to use a credit card. My friend got sketched out and told them she was no longer interested, to which the hiring manager called her a "lazy [censored]".

The "hiring manager" goes by "Randy Brown" with CHS "Community Health Systems". Please stay away !!

*Called Community Health Systems and asked and was told it was a scam.

I was contacted via email. The sender stated I had applied for a position with a major company via indeed. I was then asked to do an online interview and offered a position with Community Health Systems to work from home. They sent me a check via FedEx and gave references for their HR department. I'm sure it was all the same person. The check was a cashier's check. The check was obviously fake. A letter was sent asking me to deposit the check and send an email with the deposit slip and confirmation of the deposit. It also stated it would activate funds to be released once I gave them the deposit information. Cashier's checks do not work that way. Funds are available the minute the check is purchased. There wasn't a company logo on the check. I looked up CHS online and called the number on the website. They confirmed that they do not send out checks in the mail and that it was, in fact, a scam. I'm glad I did NOT cash the check. These people are out to get your money. I let the person on google hangouts I would not be continuing with them. They told me I would need to return the funds on the check and the easiest way to do that was to deposit the check. Then, I would need to wire them the money. I told them I knew it was a scam. All they said was for me to return the check then. Of course, I did not. There were a few small warning signs that I ignored initially.

I was contacted, by email, in response to an application placed on indeed. The email read as follows: Dear applicant,

The human resources department of Community Health Systems (CHS) went through your resume for the administrative assistant position which you applied for on www.indeed.com with the company CHS and we are convinced you meet the requirements for the position. We would specially like to invite you for an online job briefing and online. The time duration for the job briefing and online interview session is forty (40) minutes. The interview schedules are as follows. I never questioned it because online communication has become the standard. It was not until they wanted me to deposit a check from them into my account that it became a concern. It is a scam. Do not provide any information to them.

They interviewed me through google hangouts. They hired me after the interview. They sent me a check saying that I could use it to buy at home office supplies. They also asked me to purchase itunes gift cards for them. I called the actual company and they said it was a scam. I called my bank and reported this to the police.

They offered a employment as a admin assistant working from home. ONLY spoke via Google hangouts until I told them I thought it was a scam. They overnighted a check and was to deposited into my bank account. I had to send them a picture of deposit receipt. Then I was to go to walmart and send the money to someone in Atlanta. Called CHS and they know about the scam.
