I am 80 yrs old. Yesterday, I lost $850 to the Community Service Block Grant because I thought I was talking to my cousin. She said she got a $100,000 grant. She gave me a link to an agent. Through IM, I was told I was qualified to receive a $100,000 grant if I paid a processing fee. I bought American Express gift cards from Walgreens in Washington Court House, Ohio. The clerk didn't ask me any questions. I took pictures of the gift cards, front and back, and the receipt and sent them back through FB. Then he asked for $2,200 for the stamping and delivery which I did not agree to pay. I took the money from my checking account. I have proof on my phone.

I was texted by a person I know from church and wanted to know if I had heard anything about the Community Service Block Grant. I said no so then he told they helping people of different needs,disabled,widowed, elderly,etc. He got his money in 2 days, $100,000.with no payback, sounded good!!?? so thought I would try it.Applied to Thomas James.Well it wasn't free, $1500. to apply and the grant would be delivered in 2 days by Fedex. The fees were paid in only Apple gift cards, which a hassle to because, because the stores were concerned about scam, and I was telling them I trusted my friend!! Then there were reasons of delay in delivery, Homelane Security certicate, then IRS wanted taxes paid, then covid issue and needed to have delivery package stamped for security because Fedex was delivering the $100,000.00 in cash.They kept giving discounts in the money requests, so I stopped responding to his texts.and his tones became more impatient and nasty. Then Adam Clinton, the CSBG general manager, and wanted to help finish the grant, the police officer I talk to said to dont continue the texting. It's a scam and already now Had lost $5750.00 Done Done they are still sending texts. I started this on 10/15/21 to today !!/1/2021. I have received nothing except empty giftcards and debt. A friend sent a message on facebook messenger and told me I needed to contact agent John Phillips and it might be worth my time. I contacted him and he said I might qualify for a grant. He said later that I qualified and he sent a chart. One prize was $50,000.00

my fee was $1,000. I sent the money on 3 apple cards and was then told I need to send $5,000. for the taxes. I was told IRS stopped shipping thru Fed x.

The Scammer used ****** ******* (Friend) from FB.(*** ********* I reported this scam to both fb owner and indeed confirmed his profile was used. furthermore i reported to FB. the person inpersonating my friend send me a messeger if i knew that I was on a winning list (Community Service Block Grant. then referred me to Cindy Ortega with tel. 580 337-7474 to call her right away and see if i was still on the winning list since he got $50K and that funds came from this community and that this cindy will guide me to claim. Cindy in turn said that i needed to get 2 cards of google play valued at $500 each and to activate - send them and the fedex guy will drop my winning after they received the activated cards. i dialed the number and it was only voice message then later came in text to show me what to do. I called Dennis who was the imposter and said he cant answer the phone cus he has bad [censored]ection. Anyhow I knew this is a scam and wanted to report them accordingly.

Suspected scammer went on to tell me I’m eligible for “grant winning” and wanted my address so FedEx fouled send me a “winnings package”.

Received a message from a friend (I thought) of mine. Asked me id I heard of CSBG program, said he received a lot of money and does not have to pay it back, he asked me to text 318-242-1254 to see if I am eligible for the grant. I text, reply asking for full name and address. They said they will send me $150,000 within 3 hours, but I would have to pay a $5,000 service and delivery fee. That's when I cot suspicious and call my friend that I thought informed me, He said No way, it was not him... So be carful of things like this..

I just recently receive a messenger from this person claiming to be my sister-in-law from Oklahoma. This is the message they sent me about this grant: The Community Service Block Grant (CSBG) program,they are helping the Youth, Retired and Disabled and Old in the society, i just benefited from the program!! I also got a sum of $150,000 from them when i contact the agent in charge of the grant.Have you heard about it too? Here is the claiming agent text number (817) 382 0797 Just Send them a message now that a friend of yours told you about this program and you want to know if you can get qualified too to claim your own winning money before the program get closed. just send them a text now and don't hesitate to Ask me anything you need to know about the program? This person is using messenger without Facebook. They logged in using a phone number from the United State creating an account.

I received a message in Facebook messenger from One of my friends (but it really wasn't her). The message stated...

I was wondering if you have heard anything about the Community Service Block Grant (CSBG) helping program yet?

I got $150,000.00 from the on- going program when i apply, and it not a loan you don’t have to pay it back.. I thought you’ve gotten yours from them. Do you know how to apply?

They also gave the claiming agent text number (747) 208-3134 and name John E Clark.

They kept asking did I do it yet, which was a red flag to me.
