Been going to the same location downtown Greensboro for about 5 weeks every Saturday that has open parking to customers. Manager for business stated that this scam happens all the time to regulars and employees so I googled news reports about this scam that has recently moved to surrounding states that originally began in Florida and North Alabama. The scammer obtained my mailing address from a device that scanned my license plate. The letter only stated the address of the so-called violation and that if I paid within 15 days I would get half off the total. So to double checked myself, I went through the official Greensboro ticket website and I have no reported tickets.
