Type of a scam Fake Invoice/Supplier Bill

Landscape construction... "Complete Design by S&E" is a fake business name and she leaves flyers at your door steps. She goes by Elaine (Elena) Rodriguez and she claims she is a contractor. Please make sure you always get contractor license and bond#. Something we failed to do as a new home owner we had no idea to collect this information. Elaine writes up a contract making everything look legit. However, her work is horrible and she doesn't do well with managing time. She will take your money in different deposit and payments but then she doesn't show up or answer your phone calls anymore. She also, gave me receipts with a fake address. I wrote a check out to Robertsons $5,305 for cement and she delivered another concrete company and my concrete is cracking. The other concrete company only charged $3,000. Therefore, where is my other $2,000 difference for cement I paid? Bottom line is I thought she was a licensed contractor and I gave her $17,000 and she stopping coming to my house and answering my phone calls. She lies all the time about coming back and she never makes it. It is red flags that she has to give fake addresses and does poorly on job. She never put rebar or wire mesh and is always rushed in between jobs. We started this 02/18/2021 and today is 06/06/2021. Have not seen her since! She seemed really nice at first but don't be scammed. Do your homework and ask for license and bond information and look them up make sure they are real. Also, look up home/business address to see if they are real. Thank you for listening!
