They said they were collecting a debt from a Chase Bank Credit Card. Also the contact phone number in their letter head was (866)123-4567. When I noticed this, I told them I thought they were a scam and discontinued my call.

I called Chase Bank. They said no one should be contacting me about that written off debt. They said it must be a scam.

This person called on Friday and said I was going to be served, if I didn’t want to go to court I needed to resolve this credit card balance that is owed which is $8,542.65. They said we are confirming where to serve you but they never told me where I was going to be served. Today I received a call at 2:39 PM EST from a No-Caller ID. I listened to the message of a Sasha Guitierez. She left a message speaking very fast, and I was unable to understand until I replayed several times. This is the message she left “ Attention this is Sacha Gutierrez with the county process service division the reason for my phone call is because your case has now been red flagged and be transferred to my office to situate service it looks like there is no resolution with the firm and I want to continue with service if you have any final questions regarding your case or would like to have the documentation throughout it it is imperative that you get in contact with a firm handling your case their contact number is 8669612425 in reference to your case number 2023–72060 failing to contact issuing firm will result in further legal proceedings to take place without your knowledge Mr. Michael Reiss you have been notified…”

I called the number and spoke to Samantha. She said if I would like to resolve and pay the outstanding balance to avoid going to court they were willing to accept 75% of the amount due. I said I know nothing of this amount or credit card. She said it was First USA Bank. I told her I would like to have documentation as there are so many scams and want to know more details. She asked what I was willing to pay and being that I had called she has stopped the process server. I told her I am blindsided with this call. She proceeded on rattling off my social security number, my address, my birthdate, my drivers license. She knew our mortgage company and said we have to have income of over 100K to qualify for our mortgage. She even mentioned garnishing my wages. I told her that I am blindsided by this, and would like information before selecting one of the 2 options she gave me.

Which was a one time payment of $4,698.10 or 75% of $8542.65 which is 6,406.98, paid out, 1st payment now $3203.00 and then $291.18/mth for 11 months. At first she told me I had 2 hours to make a decision. Then after we were talking she said she’ll send me a document within 30 min. I did not receive anything until 7 PM from [email protected]. it was from an email signing program. Attached below.
