I was first contacted by private number by a female telling me that i was going to be served papers by the court and that i could contact Barriington and Associates ,provided a phone number 855)379-9038 and a case number. I did call the number provided, I spoke with "Brian Morris" regarding an auto collections from 2005 for a nissan 2004 Nissan Altima. I was told they were going to serve papers to sue me and that the amount of the lawsuit would be 12,436.00 plus atty fees and court cost and that they would file for a judgement against me to collect the debt. He also said that i could pay a lower debt amount before i was served with an offer in compromise but i would need to pay negore i was served. Kicker is their website was down and i needed to pay before their close of business over the phone. In the next. 30 minutes. I gave him my. E-mail address so that he could send me the offer in compromise, wich he did but i never opened. The e-mail came from [email protected]. an e-sign document sign invite. I did not open the e-mail and 1 hour later i received another e-mail stating Document Invite Canceled. I played along with David about the debt to see how far theu would go. I never owned a nissan altima. That was repossessed as he stated. But he. Did have information like recent home purchase, bank accounts i had credit lines i had. And last 4 of my social. Well see how far their willing to go. Guess now im just waiting to be served
