Total money lost $430
Type of a scam Online Purchase
ticketmaster. The woman then said "her cousin" who originally bought the tickets was upset that it was below face
value and my daughter/friend sent them another $150. The $280 went to a Tara Montague
and the $150 went to a Robert Ramirez. This totals $430.
This was clearly a scam that the girls fell for. The perpetrator continued to engage them via direct messaging and
tell them various stories, but assuring them they would send the tickets. And then that they would refund them -
neither happened.
I know this is a petty crime and we doubt money will be returned, but would honestly like this person or group of
people to be stopped as they probably do this regularly.
We have identifing info from sending the Zelle's -- Tara Montague - zelle contact email is
[email protected] and Robert's is [email protected] on zelle. (his picture comes up in the
email account too)
We have screenshots of the transactions and various direct messages of them agreeing to the sale, etc.
The ticket sale was advertised by someone on twitter under the handle "Evelien" (@evelieeen_x3) who was most likely Tara or
Robert).
The fact they requested the money electronically and then accepted it for goods they didn't deliver seems to fall
under the category of wire fraud.
We believe these people live in Denver as they were selling denver concert tickets and shared pictures/video of the tickets. They may possibly be in Stockton, CA - (there is a nail technician there with a similar name "evelien" on instagram)
The twitter account was reported as trying to defraud people out of money for fake tickets.
