This is the scam email I got.
At the end of our chat on Friday, Dr. Greg asked if I had any questions. I responded yes, that I was curious as to why his introduction to me and the officer letter he sent were in the name Dr. Huber Greg while his LinkedIn profile is shown as Greg Huber (both the Skype account and LinkedIn profile have the same picture). I was told that there were no worries, that things would be explained when the time was "right". (RED FLAG).
The next day I received a check in the amount of $4,800 drawn against an account for a payroll services firm in Las Vegas. What was curious about this is that "Dr. Greg" wanted me to advise him immediately upon receipt of the check, which I did. Then he wanted me to take it quickly to my bank and deposit it, then forward a copy of the deposit slip or ATM transaction receipt.
All of this rolled up, along with an employment offer after simply a non-verbal "chat" on Skype - no verbal conversation with anyone at all, had me questioning the entire transaction. Next I Googled "Concordance Healthcare Scam" and landed on this site with others explaining their experiences.
Maybe the problem is with Indeed? How did these scam artists get my info?
