Type of a scam Identity Theft
When my email was requested by Meghan Durr representing Construct Corps, LLC the said employer, she stated it was for emergency contact purposes for the new employee paperwork. Shortly after (5 minutes later), I received the email from Meghan Durr to sign an I-9 form requesting my personal information and electronic signature. Her reasoning for this request was that the new employee could not verify their indentity on their own through their own I-9 form and they also could not send photocopies of their identity, yet receiving my completed I-9 via online would be suffice to verify the said new employee's identity. I did not complete the form nor authorize an electronic signature. I have placed a fraud alert on my social security profile and the new employee has done do as well since she did give her social security and other personal information to this company via online Docu-Sign.
