Caller’s phone banner said CapitalOne. Caller initially indicated my card had charged in Michigan. Then I was passed to another person who indicated it was illegal for CC companies to be charging the high interest rates and all my CC debt would be canceled. Then I was passed to another person who said all my CC debt would be canceled and to cut up the credit cards. Their team of lawyers would handle the rest. Paperwork would be sent to my email for me to review, sign and return to them at which point I hung up.
