I was trying to get a loan for bad credit, and it said it was guaranteed, this company then said they could guarantee a loan just needed to be verified first for 9.95, sent a picture of my ID and got an email saying I was verified and accepted and they sent me to another company who was supposed to be the lender names PLAC Guarantee and they said I was approved but needed to pay a referral fee of 150 dollars

The site says if you pay $9.95 for verification you will get a code and then get a loan. I was dumb and paid the $9.95 and then I put the code in and it said I now needed to pay $150 to get the loan. Clearly a scam and no one ever answers the phone. This needs to be investigated and warn consumers as they are preying on people looking for loans.

I was applying for a consolidation loan on this website name ConsumerEZcredit. The loan company stated I was approved after I had given pertinent key personal information about myself. Then I was instructed, if I wish to accept this offer, there were two necessary steps. 1. Verification and 2. Sign the Agreement. The loan company stated they have a third party company to complete the verification Services and they charge $9.95 for the full verification and that company is called competitive credit. When I submitted the payment I received an email stating after receiving my ID, they will email/text me back within 24 hours, sometimes within a few hours or less, during normal business hours. After receiving that message I got a strange feeling and I knew I had been scammed.

Consumer EZ Credit will tell you to pay $10 first for the verification services (i.e. email or text your ID). Then, they will refer you to PLAC Guarantee (which will take a referral fee depending on the loan amount). Mine was $275 apparently.

The terms of the loan, interest rate, and repayment schedule seem very reasonable in the current zeitgeist. They ask for the $9.95 verification fee, which seemed the coin of the realm. This morning, they sent two e-mails asking me to proceed to "STEP 2" - by the way, they don't have my legit e-mail address, though they do have my NYS driver's license I submitted. The SECOND STEP refers you to a different company. They ask for a $100 fee - having read the plight of the poor people on the ScamPulse.com website, I cut my losses (by the way, they ask for a $1.00 donation for *** ****** ********** ******** - which I gave happily - but another manipulative way they are dealing with consumers in good faith. I can only hope that money goes to the children, for there is already a special ring in **** for these disgusting hucksters. Leading them on, I said I had a question related to the loan (and if a lady is reading this, avert your eyes or forgive me) - I sent several photos of young gentlemen, unclothed in various states of arousal. I felt, at the very least, they were asking for that - and far worse. So they have my ten bucks, I have alerted my bank, and that's that - I consider myself very fortunate to be out ten bucks - but really, I SHOULD have known better, been a bit more skeptical and circumspect - but I feel for these people who lost much more, vulnerable people clearly in dire financial straits!
