Found their site after a Goggle search to fix TurboTax program issues. Their site: https://contactforhelp.com/blog/5-troubleshooting-steps-to-fix-turbotax-for-mac-...⇄ I called the phone #. An East Indian man answered after only a few rings. I don't believe there was an automated voice/company intro first. It was loud in the background w/ other "agents" talking. I hung up, called back for better connection and to get someone I could better understand. I think I got the same guy "Frank" & explained my issue. No customer verification was requested by him. He had me install Log Me In, which gave him access to my computer. Once I accepted, the chat window had the name "Tim" instead. I saw this but didn't ask yet he offered that's b/c he was at his supervisor's desk. Thankfully, I had 20 popup error messages and I finally questioned if the site where I got their # was legit. I ended the call (he wasn't pushy and welcomed I call Apple or work with him/them) and I restarted the computer and called Apple who guided me thru adding a malware program. I was probably only on the call for 3 minutes (incl. 1-2 minutes with him on my computer and it didn't look like he opened my tax file from what I could see on my desktop). I wasn't asked for my name, payment, etc. I later called TurboTax (got their # after logging into their site). They don't use that computer sharing program and can't control people's computers. The TurboTax rep is reporting their site to their security team. The fraudulent site has troubleshooting tips, a photo of TT products and these tags: "TurboTax contact number" , "contact number for TurboTax" and links at the bottom for Gmail, Facebook, Yahoo, Outlook, HP & Netgear customer service.
