On 3/8/2024, I utilized this website to obtain a vehicle history report, for which I was charged $1. It's just a dollar. However, to my dismay, I discovered that this action automatically enrolled me in a bi-weekly subscription without my explicit consent. Furthermore, I received an email notification today stating that my account was charged $29.95 without my authorization. I tried to seek help from Livechat but it was useless. I sent an email to support team immediately after I realized the unauthorized charge to request for subscription cancellation and refund. Additionally, it's claimed that customer can call the number on the website to cancel the subscription. I called them and they asked my 6-digit numbers on my credit card so I didn't respond because it's suspicious. They asked your name and email while you sign up. When you log in to the site, there's no dashboard and function that customer can do a self-cancellation of the subscription.

Looked online to get vin info on an automobile I was selling

Chose Vinhistory

Told trial period was $1 but was also charged a subscription fee of $29.95

the same day

I wasn’t aware of extra charge until 1/30/24

I had cancelled the service during the trial period

Have contacted them by phone but being advised to use

[email protected]

I have not heard back about refund

I will dispute with my credit card company

The site claimed it would be $1 only and then took 25.99 and declined the $1 payment
