I met with Chris Garibaldi on September 1, 2023 and arranged for a re-siding job for my house. He asked for half of the total cost presumably for supplies and materials. I was in contact with the company designer, Danielle Coates, getting the configuration right. I asked several times when the job would start. Chris said at one point that the materials would arrive September 29, 2023. They did not. Finally, on November 22 I was contacted by a former employee of Alta, saying that Chris had given him my job because he was too busy. I hired Alonzo Riley to do the job thinking that Chris would pass along to him the money for materials. That didn’t happen and according to Alonzo, Chris thinks that I owe him because we had shaken hands. I did not sign a contract, and I did not get a receipt but I have a cancelled check. In my mind Chris did absolutely nothing in fulfillment of his “contract” even if he believes we had a “hand-shake” contract.

Alonzo has also told me that Chris is doing this exact thing to over 40 other customers.

I used Angie to find a contractor. I saw a 5 star rating for a Ryan Goodrich. He came to our home to give us a bid. (He was very charismatic with us, building his self up so we would trust him). We needed an existing gate fixed and a small area of fencing to be installed to keep our dogs from getting out of the back yard. He said he needed money to buy the supplies. He quoted me 350 dollars, we wrote a check and then he brought pieces of a vinyl fence over. The next day this guy came over that was older than my husband, maybe late 70’s. He did not bring any tools and asked to use ours. It took him 2 long days of attempting to put in this small area of fence four dogs. As I texted Ryan about this guy and his work and that I was not happy with his job. He promised to come by and take care of it. This older gentleman did not know what he was doing. He drilled holes in our existing gate and ruined it. After many texts and promises by Ryan he never did what he said he was going to do. Then we had to wait another 2 weeks because he texted us and said “I ordered a new gate”. He came by once when we were not home and our older son talked to him about the job and shared our concerns. Again, more promises were made. I have not seen him since the 1 st day of meeting him. I decided to research him and his company. There was a news report on you tube that said he was a broker and forged home owners signatures to get on their titles to get money for their homes. When it showed his picture. I said to husband”he is a scammer. The jobs are still not done, no new gate. I texted him to say in a nice way to return our money. He said ok then said do you still want me to finis. I said no, just return the money. I told him I would give him 24 hours and asked what time he would be over tomorrow 8-22-23. Then no response. So I know he will never come by to return the money. So I decided to file this claim so no one else has to go through a scam like this. I found out his license was fake. I reported him to Angie who is going to investigate. I filed a complaint with Fox News since they ran this report on him last month. I’m doing all I can to get this guy caught. Please let me know what else I can do. It’s more about integrity of this person. I want him to know he can’t get away from doing this fraud to people.
