Convention Scam Reports & Reviews (1)

I attend pop culture fan events regularly. I purchased tickets to The Urban Nerd Con. The point of contact was a man by the name of Roy M. Eavins II. He communicated via email after I purchased the ticket to the con. First, the con was moved from the hotel address I provided you to a new location. Then, most of the speakers/celebrities canceled (which was the reason I was going and what was promised when attending the con.) Then Roy canceled the convention completely and said he would be refunding everyone. That was on April 29th. He's now periodically sent out emails saying he was going to start refunds, but can't and keeps giving excuses. He also is threatening us not to make a fraud claim to our credit card company or he won't pay us back. I believe he was running a scam and that is why the speakers/celebrities dropped out.
