I subsequently found out that
a. the draftsman who did the drawings for the permit was not paid,
b. the company that lifted the cottage into the air was not paid
c. the company that dealt with the piles of dirt surrounding the cottage after the concrete piers were done was not paid
d. the second architect brought in to do more detailed drawings was not paid
e. there was a proposal for bankruptcy meeting in March of which I was not made aware
f. the company was declared bankrupt in September 2020 which I found out from the wife of the company that dealt with the dirt, at which time I also found out that S****** had lied to me about his last name and that
g. S****** did ****** **** back in 2013 or so after defrauding a 93 year old woman out of $138,000 for unneeded repairs to her home
The only company that was paid was the concrete company that did the piers.
I've paid $60,000 and will now have to find other contractors to remediate the situation. I am also facing potential construction liens being put on the cottage.
