Fake collections

Called my cell phone and said I had a case against me and needed to call 310-307-5306 to settle the matter. Latter they called my place of employment telling the receptionist that I had an action against me and that they had tried to serve me at my home and would like to serve me at work. They gave the same number as above saying to tell me if I wanted to avoid them coming to my place of employment to call them.

An individual hard to understand left a message that my social security number was involved in suspicious & criminal identity theft and they were cancelling my social security number. They said in order to avoid disaplanary action, I was to immediately to call back at 202-991-8178. Feel this was definitely a scam & did not call back. This was Monday 1/7 at 4:00pm. Think the senior public should be advised.

My friend also received the same call the same day.
