Called me by name and asked if I knew either J__ B___ or B___ H___, naming them both. These are my step daughter & her partner. Said he was doing a background check on them for an application (I think he said a credit card or loan app). Said BH was the primary borrower, so he’ll ask about her. Then asked if they had phone numbers for each of them correct. I confirmed that they did. Then asked if the address they had was their address. I said it was. Asked if BH worked for ********* ******** ****  I said she did. Asked how long. I said I wasn’t sure how long, but several years. He said he wouldn’t ask a lot of the other questions since they’re about how long have I known JB and BH, etc. He assumed that I’ve known them a long time. I didn’t correct him. He said to let them know that we spoke and they should call the number, 888-739-9201, speak to anyone and complete their application. When I texted JB and BH they said they hadn’t applied for anything. JB called and got someone very pushy wanting more information from her. No SSN or DOB was discussed in my phone call. They do have full names, cell numbers and street address for both JB and BH plus BH’s employer’s name. I’m in Missouri, JB and BH are in WV.
