I am not questioning the receipt of the product. I have received the product. I am objecting to the product I received. The product I ordered online says I am ordering a “genuine” General Electric refrigerator filter model RPWFE. the E, on the end of that number indicate the filter is embedded with a chip that communicates with the refrigerator and controls the icemaking, the filter usage, and allows the refrigerator to detect a counterfeit filter. THERE IS NO CHIP ON ANY OF THE FOUR FILTERS I RECEIVED!!!. They are counterfeits, even though they are in the exact same packaging with the correct RPWFE designation on the box, the instructions are the same as GE products would have, and the photo online is exactly what GE would have in their advertisement. This is a deceptive advertising scheme from a company in China who is manufacturing counterfeit filters and marketing them as something they are not. You will notice on the box. It says “genuine” GE refrigerator water filter. It is not a genuine GE water filter. It is a counterfeit. My refrigerator will not operate without the genuine GE water filter with the imbedded chip. I cannot believe that I am the first person to bring this to your attention. I need your help. PayPal, Amazon, eBay or any other company online should be concerned about this type of counterfeiting taking place. You have control of the purse strings. Please help to eliminating this company from this practice by refunding my money and reporting this company, and others like them, to the proper authorities who can do something about this.
