Roger/Rogelio Palacios of Santa Ana, CA operating Palacios Appliances, sold me a brand new open box trash compactor. Retail price is $1,600 and I offered him $1,000 for open box. He agreed and I paid him this amount plus delivery, installation and tax $1,212. I knew the quality was not like normal kitchenaid quality when it arrived, but two young men came to install it and said they drove 2 hours to bring it to me, so I felt bad sending it back. Shortly after they left and upon inspection, I saw pictures of another inferior product he was advertising on his site, but he changed the handle, removed the sticker with the serial and model numbers, and removed the logo of the inferior product and delivered that to me rather than the item I paid for. I have side by side photos of both and it is blatantly obvious. I sensed something was wrong. The appliance has something wrong with it even aside from him removing the identifying logo and serial numbers to send me a fraudulent product. I was scammed/duped. The late teen guys who delivered it seemed nice and it was late, and they told me the appliance was under warranty, so I let them leave it and gave them the money. I wish I had trusted my gut and sent it back with them without making payment. I have since checked the internet and found the company has about 60 1-star reviews, all complaining of being scammed.
