I was trying to purchase a dog from a breeder in CO. After receiving tracking & shipping information I received an email 45 mins before the dog was supposed to leave CO. The email stated I needed to pay anywhere from $1000-2000 for an air controller crate of which I would receive 90% back @ delivery of the puppy. They wanted either cash through cash app or zelle pay or wanted me to go out & buy giftcards. I refused to do this so the breeder decided to cover it. The next day I receive another email stating that I needed to pay $900 cash for some permit. I didnt respond and told the breeder to go get the dog & give me back my money of which I still have not received.

Adopted pup from breeder and she set up delivery and I got tracking. Everything I thought was fine until tracking says On Hold in UT and I get an email saying they need a Cite Permit and refundable payment of $1000. I looked it up and the cite permit situation looked real. Then they come back and say well she needs this vaccine and it’s a refundable $1500. I go the breeder to pay more than half but I don’t have a confirmation that they paid so I have no idea if they are part of the scam yet. They also request you pay through Zelle or Cash app because “that’s the fastest way to process payment and get things moving again.” So The next day I wake up to find the tracking is still in UT and now they need a quarantine license with a refundable 2500. I told them NO and I informed the breeder. She said she is trying to get the $ together to pay it but they both take forever to respond to anything and only answer part of your questions. I am still waiting to see if this pup is even real. Attached is the first notice since I can only add a single photo
