This is a scam. The guy knows nothing about horses, he can't even get the basics right. I suspected he was a scammer so I messaged him with my interest in a horse on his page to find out. It took him two days to reply, by which time the horse I asked about had changed from a 16hh thoroughbred to a 15.2hh breedless horse. It was actually a warmblood and I did find the genuine owner of the horse in Australia. This guy claims he's in the US. When I confronted him with this information he invited me to his yard, but refused to give me the address, and swore at me. DO NOT give this scammer any money. There are no horses.

This website is 100% SCAM. They are using pictures stolen from other people and false testimonials. Looking at the pictures of the horse compared to the descriptions is laughable as the page owner obviously knows nothing about horses. There are mares with sheaths 13hh Hanoverians, 16hh ponies...the list goes on and on. They want money up front for non-existent horses. AVOID, AVOID AVOID.

Courage Horse Adoption is taking money from people who want to adopt horses and not upholding their own policies to adopt horses. Courage Horse Adoption posted comments about horses for adoption in an equine Facebook group to which I belong. I'm looking for a horse so I reached out to them. They seemed to have a horse that fit my needs and I proceeded to inquire about the horse via FB messenger. They told me, and per their adoption policy on their website, that I had to fill out an application for the horse of my choice. Once approved, I had to send half of the adoption fee to hold the horse. Then I would go visit, test ride etc, and see if the horse was a good fit. The policy states that of the horse is not a good fit, the reservation fee will be refunded. My application was approved. After several back and forths, I was given a couple different bank accounts in which to send the reservation money. It was very difficult to receive contact information (and sometimes that happens when working with volunteers for charities like rescues). They said they couldn't accept PayPal because of bad experiences with it. I reluctantly sent payment and arranged to go and visit the horse on a weekend. Two days before the arranged visit, they told me that they couldn't keep the horse there without me paying board or that they had to deliver him to me "tomorrow." This was alarming and not consistent with the process- I had not even met the horse. When I asked questions, they couldn't give me any specific information about the horse or his behavior or his care. I asked to have a video call so I could see the horse and they said that was not possible, that they didn't have the technology. Courage Horse Adoption refused to even confirm the address where I had said the horse would be boarded. The facility to be delivered happens to be about 500 miles from them! So delivering in one day is not possible. The circular and very ambiguous conversation ended with me asking for a refund, per their policy. I have no horse. And no refund. This is not a legitimate or professional business. They withhold information, making excuses about everything, and at one point seemed a bit threatening. When I initially said I had some suspicions, they told me that I was fearful and they had never tried so hard to convince someone about a horse. Eventually they said, "if you don’t proceed and I will make sure the person adopting (horse) gets to chat with you so that you see the opportunity that you just missed." Courage Horse Adoptions changes and neglects policies. They are taking money from people without upholding their policies.

This horrible person actually lives in Nigeria. He does not have any horses and no knowledge of horses. All of the pictures on his website have been stolen from other people. There at at least 50 reports about him on FB.
