CAUTION! I received a call from someone who spoke very poor English. First, she claimed that I had filed a complaint against someone, but she had no information she could give me. She claimed she was from: the National Document Office and that her name was: Vienna Williams (I am sure this is fake as well, she gave that information only after I pushed her into it). I gave NO personal information at all. She said she could not tell me what the matter was, but that it was a legal matter and that I was going to be served papers and would be sued. Right away, she wanted to give me a phone number to call: 951-344-1632 and told me a case number. Since then, I have done a "reverse check" on that phone number, and it belongs to an " I was very limited on time and told her that I could not discuss this issue at this point. She put more pressure on me (which continued to raise my awareness. She then told me to hold the line that she needed to switch me to another person and that if I talked with this new person, they might be able to solve the problem over the phone. She claimed it was a Legal problem and that I needed to take care of this issue right then. Again, the more she pushed, my concern raised to a new level. I raised my voice and told her that I would give no information over the phone and that I was done talking. I did tell the person that she was fake that I had no court legal issues and to never call again. I did not give my name or any information. I hung up the phone (after taking down the phone number she wanted me to call and a case number as well. I have done my own checking. I have no legal case against me, and nothing is pending. I have done nothing wrong. Well, the scam went further. I received an email from a relative that I had not talked to for a few years. That relative claimed they received a call from the same person wanting info on me and said there was a pending legal matter. Again, there is no pending legal matter. BEWARE, many people are having this same scam happening to them. I have checked our county's website for any court documents and there are none. I have done nothing wrong to have anything against me. I told my relative that this was a scam and to not talk with the person. In the last 5 years, my family has received several notices that our information has been breached. Most of those breaches were from medical offices/hospitals. Beware! We have a non-listed number, that does no good. We receive countless calls (daily) from scams, and fake people wanting everything under the sun. We never give out info of any kind. If someone asks if they are speaking to a certain person, never say your name or give them any information. Scammers will go to great lengths to get your information. Don't help them by giving them any info. REPORT scams.
