A gentleman who identified himself as Officer Anderson, and officer of the court, left a voicemail for me, identifying me be first and last name, along with my date of birth. He stated there was an outstanding summons against me, and several attempts were made to serve the summons to my home, listing my current home address. He said I needed to call 877--695-2499 regarding case# 18911-FL right away because they were scheduled to serve the summons again today at my employer's office. I am a remote employee so that is impossible. I called the number he provided, to which a young woman answered the phone stating I had reached Abraham's & Associates. She asked me for the case #, and said she needed to confirm my identity. I asked her what the summons was in regards to and she said it was a civil summons. When she began asking for my personal information to confirm my identity, I asked her to clarify, to which she said she would have to have the case manager answer those questions. I refused to provide any identifying information and disconnected the call. I then called the Pinellas County Clerk of Courts, who confirmed I do not have any outstanding summons or cases against me and that I did the right thing not providing information to the woman.
