I received a text message today from 855-912-0587 asking me to call 877-892-3485 regarding the closing of my existing account reference number 20-568663. I called it and was transferred to a lady and she told me she worked for Covington. I asked her what company she was with and she said Covington and told me Covington is a mediation company. I asked her what this was about and she proceeded to tell me that they are trying to collect for a debt I have with Liberty. She said I have debt owed from back in 2014 and they are trying to contact me for payment before I am served a summons. She asked me to verify my address and email. I told her I would not. She told me the debt they are trying to collect on is from an online loan application I filled out with Liberty and I did not pay the funds back. I asked her where this Liberty is located and she said in Oklahoma. I told her I never filled out anything like this online for a pay day loan. She had my old address and my old email which she asked me if these were still good for me and I said no. She then asked me if I had been a victim of identity theft and I said no. I asked her if she could provide me with some documentation and she said no the only thing you will get is when we serve you the summons.

I don't know what she is talking about but I feel this may be a scam. I never filled out anything with any company called Liberty. So I am not sure what is going on. I shocked that I received a text on my phone from these people.
