He also said they do not charge customers anything until fully satisfied.
2 guys show up (one looked like a teenager) with a lady that waited in an unmarked truck. The main worker was “Christopher Miller” (not his real name either).
I questioned this and was told it’s a new truck. Fine.
The job was questionable at best and when I brought this to the gentleman’s attention he said “it would level out by Monday” and if not they would come back and replace everything. They wanted $****. I said said no way am I paying the full amount for this quality of work. We agreed on $**** & if everything turned out ok on Monday, I’d pay the other $***.
They were pressuring me to pay by cash app, that they had to replace the materials that day, that they would get into trouble if not.
Well how is that the customers fault. I then changed my mind and decided to pay by check as this was all sounding scetchy.
He was quite rude and clearly he was pissed off, saying “this isn’t going to bounce is it.” WTF.
Then “Carlos” sends a condescending text to me calling me “honey” (super unprofessional) and saying he’d call Sunday to set up a time for Monday to look at the walkway. Never got a call.
Come Monday, surprise, the walkway stills looks like [censored]. Texted both “Carlos” and the other guy. No response. Cancelled my check and texted them what kind of scam are they running, I’m reporting them to the BBB. His response? “I don’t understand why you’re cancelling payment. What scam?” Nothing else was said, no offer to fix anything. No damage control. Nothing. I didn’t respond and haven’t heard from them since
I looked up their phone numbers and they’re registered to American-sounding names (they are clearly Middle Eastern). So unbelievably shady. DO NOT FALL FOR THIS SCAM!
