I was contacted to participate as an exhibitor for an event called Senior Expo in Chicago, Illinois. It was scheduled for February 3, 2017 from 10am-3pm. I was sent a brochure and 5 pages of information. I was going to have an author table selling my books. I was contacted by a woman who used the name Lisa Miller. I sent her a check for $250 to be an exhibitor there on December 5, 2017. It was sent to the above address. The even was supposed to be held at the Chicago Mariott Hotel in Oakbrook, Illinois. I went there and there was no event and I was told by a person at the hotel registration desk that they were called and told the event had been cancelled and a new date would be set. They sent a 5 page pdf with information on the conference activities and times events would take place. Even info on the exhibitor tables and what we could bring. They also were charging if you wanted to do a seminar or workshop or do advertisements in their Senior Resource Guide. I contacted my bank and was told my check was cashed on 12/12/17 at a CheckNGo
