I received a 2021 - Periodic Report Instruction Form from a company called B.C.S. for my LLC. Asking me to file and pay my periodic report by 10/16/2020. Seems they use a different name but the same address, 5614 Connecticut Ave. NW #190, Washington, DC 20015. I searched using the address and found this website and others listing this as scam but under a different name, C.P.S.

They want me to pay $110 for a $10 fee I pay through my Secretary of State website. How are they getting away with this and I think of all the hundreds of small business owners who don't know better and pay this bogus company.

I received a letter today (Sept 24th, 2020) asking me for $160 to "file my annual report" for my LLC. This struck me as ODD as I do it annually ONLINE! Some might fall for this trick. C.P.S is a SCAM!
They knew a LOT of information about me, so it looked legit, but I know better. I want to warn others to google and do your own research before sending strange companies any money. Such Blood-suckers to do this during a pandemic! I hope they are prosecuted soon.

Received a 2020- Biennial statement instruction form (New York LLCs) asking for $100.00 to be mailed to C.P.S. Central Avenue #142, Albany NY 12205. I'm glad I google it, something did not look right to me.

CPS sent a legitimate appearing form for my LLC renewal which is due in December. The fee of $125 was much higher than prior years. The due date of September 18, 2020 was much earlier. I called C.P.S. And when they asked what state I was located in and would not tell me their service costs I knew something was out of line. I asked how they got my information and they said “on line”. Scam - period. I will pay the state my LLC fee in November. Be careful.

Fake state form for a California LLC Statement of Information renewal with bogus payment request, requesting a $120 filing fee. Form seems credible for those not reading closely, until the last step where it states: "has not been approved or endorsed by any government agency".

C.P.S. sent me a very official-looking letter telling me it was time to pay my biennial NYS LLC filing fee. I know this fee is $9 every two years. C.P.S. requests $100 to file this for you, implying that you are supposed to be doing it through them, and masquerading as a government agency. The NYS attorney general should investigate this company.

C.P.S. is sending out fake Statement of Information forms for California LLCs.

Info Phising & requesting funds $100 over normal $20 filing fees.

The C.P.S. form provided is not the most current info for our company and this was the 1st tip off as this not being the proper form.

They are asking for the info in the Form and for check for $120 to be sent and made out to C.P.S. 1026 Florin Rd #312, Sacramento, CA 95831.

This is a UPS store location PO box.

CPS creates government forms which are designed to create a real sense of urgency to pay a renewal or other such administrative fee to a government agency. They clearly state in type face and font that they are an independent company and not in any way related to the agency indicated. BUT - as someone with User Experience and Design behind me - they take a page from the magician or prankster and HIDE this discloser right in plain view - but at a place in the text where it is well known most reader begin to scan the page (internal yada yada yada)

Our small business received unsolicited mail requesting $100 to file a 2020 biennial statement. The letter looked "official" appearing to be a governmental document. However, something seemed off so we researched it further and found a number of complaints on the ScamPulse.com website. The filing fee costs $9 so obviously a $100 charge is unnecessary, disappointing and clearly scam like.

2020 ANNUAL CERTIFICATE INSTRUCTION FORM FOR LLC COMPANIES IN OKLAHOMA. We have been sent this letter two years consecutively however, we register our LLC with the Secretary of State for $25. This company states to mail a check for $125.00 and is due by 5/22/2020. The letter does state this agency is not a Government Agency and does not have a contract with and Government Agency to provide the service.

I received a "solicitation for services" annual report form from C.P.S., citing a Louisiana Revised Statue that required me to pay this invoice or lose my LLC. I pay my LLC fees and file my report annually to the Louisiana Secretary of State, so this made me suspicious. It states on the invoice that this company is not a government agency - so why should I send them $135.00?

Received a letter from CPS filing services which said that they had been hired by the State of Oklahoma to collect and process the annual LLC certificate filing fees. The fee was paid to them by check. A month or so later I received an email from the Oklahoma Secretary of State indicating that the fee for the 2020 annual certificate for LLC was due. CPS never paid the fee and ran off with my money. They are crooks. Hard lesson learned!!

Received what looked like the standard NYS Biennial Statement filing instructions. Having filed this form every other year for the past 20 years (as required by all New York State LLC's), I was shocked to see that the normal filing fee of $9.00 had increased to $100.00. Upon further review, I see that even though this is made to look identical to the legitimate form, it is a total fake. CPS Filing Services (which doesn't even come up on a Google search) is offering to "assist" in the filing of the form. There is no assistance needed. You get the form, sign it, and return it to NYS in the envelope they provide, along with a check for $9.00.

This company clearly searched the NYS LLC database and mass-mailed this ridiculous form out to try to scam people into paying $100 for absolutely nothing. BEWARE!!

Our companyrecieved an official looking 2019 - Annual Report Instruction Form (Oregon LLCs). We needed to respond by 7/12/2019. Our signatures were required on the form and we were instructed to mail a check for $185 filing fee. At the bottom of the form, just below the signature line was a statement letting us know we could also file directly with the state of Oregon for a $100 fee. Nothing indicating what C.P.S. stood for so I googled the address and found that it was a UPS store and several search results that contained the word "scam" and found that it's been going on for years.
