Several times a day a voice mail is left saying that it is the CRA and either myself or my lawyer has to get in touch immediately concerning our tax evasion. If i don't call then the CRA will be taking me to court to prosecute for tax evasion. I called the number and someone with Indian accent pick up the phone saying" Revenue of Canada " and you can hear lots of noises at the back...

Called received from the number 613-927-9576 with the threat of taking legal actions by Revenue Canada if we don't call back and pay back money. Immediately realize that this is a scam as we don't owe any money to Revenue Canada. We did not call back.

I was sent a text message, letting me know I received an e- transfer from the CRA. See attached for clips of what was sent. The only info I have about the message is the number it was sent from.

someone called "Officer Ryan Smith" of Canadian Revenue Agency, left message in answering machine for me or my lawyer to contact him asap on his direct line 613 366 7244 regarding tax fraud in my tax paper. ( I haven't done my tax yet!!).

I did not answer the phone as I could not get to it in time before the answering machine picked up and the following is what was left on the machine.Get a call of a recorded message of a man's voice with an east indian or middle eastern accent saying that there was an action executed by the revenue agency intending your immediate attention if you ignore this message there will be an intentional second attempt to avoid an initial appearance before the magistrate judge or the grand jury for a federal criminal offence. He gives the phone number of 403-536-8261. Then says, I advise you to cooperate with us and help us to help you. The phone call came in March 7th, 2016 at 9:05 am PT.

Generally, the text of these emails is as follows:

(previously INTERAC Email Money Transfer).

Amount: $827.71 (CAD)

Sender’s Message: A message was not provided
