I found the company Crafting Peace through their social media Instagram posts. Their website sells Kufiyas and claims they are ethically sourced and handmade by local artisans in Palestine and that they donate 80% of proceeds to humanitarian initiatives in Palestine. However after making a purchase and checking the tracking, the product shipping information listed it was coming out of China. Upon receiving the Kufiya, it was a cheap polyester material with a printed (not woven) kufiya design on one side with a cheap ribbon tassle lining sewed on. The item I received looked nothing like the quality or material of the product images on the website. I found reviews of this company on trustpilot.com that had many listed complaints of the same experience, some attempted to contact the company with no reply, and the images on the website are believed to be stolen images from an authentic kufiya store.
