I SOLD AN ITEM ON CRAIGS LIST AND THE BUYER SENT ME A CHECK THAT WAS AN OVER PAYMENT, MY BANK ACCEPTED THE CHECK AND THEN THE BUYER SAID HE NEEDED THE MONEY BACK FOR AN EMERGENCY , I SENT THE MONEY BACK THROUGH ZELLE and money order AND NOW MY BANK SAYS THE BUYERS CHECK WAS A FAKE.

Ad on Craigs list for Covered Trailer for sale. Nearly new for $1,000.00 Story is husband died trailer reminds her of him wants to sell fast because in military being deployed. Please buy gift card send numbers to Craigs list (number provided by seller) who will hold it and seller will send trailer and if like keep it if not send it back.

I have gotten at least 10 of these texts over the last week. They tell me to click the link to get buyer messages. I know Craigslist does not offer messages and if ai click the link it takes me to a fake Craigslist login page.
