I (******) found a listing on Craigslist for a beach house rental in Lavallette, NJ for a week this coming Summer (2022). It showed a fairly new oceanfront house with 3 bedrooms and nice amenities. I sent an inquiry asking for the rental cost. The listing person responded with an email stating that the house is available for the week of July 13-30th at a rental rate of $2,800. He stated that a 50% rent deposit, along with a cleaning fee of $200 and deposit of $800 (refundable security damage deposit) would be needed. The total booking reservation deposit was $2,400. He asked me to let him know if it works for me and I should send my email address so he can send booking reservation form to sign. He signed it "Thanks, Joseph"

I responded (as indicated in the attached sheet) -- Joseph: There is a mistake somewhere in this. Houses that look like the picture you posted are renting for $6,000 for 1 week in July 2022 in Lavallette - specifically at Ocean Beach #. What gives?

He responded: There is a 50% discount on that very date. There is a cancellation on that very date and our calendar web-app has not been updated yet. Thanks, Joseph
