Hello, someone or some computer program has taken my VRBO rental information for our cottage on Intermediate lake, Michigan. They took all of our pictures and our descriptions, modified my descriptions and tried to rent our place to others. I've had at least 4 people contact me after they found our place on Craigslist. I had one individual state that the individuals name asking for the rental contract was Donald Phelps. My potential renter did have a contract from this person who was adamant about getting the contract signed. Now, I filed at least '4' complaints to Craigslist over the past month. I have not received 1 return email. Also, we were going on the site and flagging it as suspicious several times a day over the past week. The reason that I suspect it could be a computer program doing this automatically as the site would go off the list for a few hours only to come back on later. I did reach out to VRBO but unfortunately they were unable to get the contract from my source. I want everyone to know that this is a complete SCAM and that Craigslist doesn't seem to do anything about it. From what I research, I'm not the only one with experiencing this problem. Craigslist should step up to the plate and verify all advertisements of this sort are legit. The Craigslist posting # is on the attached image.
