I have received 2 emails from this address saying that I have a delinquent account with ECRS Corporation and I need to mail a check for $1280 in 2 days or they will turn me over to collections. They have my social security number. The emails aren't written in what I would call "normal" form. English is not their first language. There is no address listed to send anything to(not the I would) or any other contact info.

I received a collection notice this afternoon which included my ssn. The letter states that unless I issue a check within the next 3 days, the creditor plans to take legal action. Appears to be a scam but it includes my ssn number which is unprofessional and seems illegal.

Despite our earnest efforts to resolve your past due account, payments on this accounts has still not been made. You are therefore in serious breach of the agreements you accepted when signing up to four our services.

We are informing you that this is your final reminder Email and opportunity to make payment. Unless we have your check for amount $1280.00 within the next 3 days, or an acceptable proposal for payments is obtained forthwith, we shall immediately commence legal actions against you. If the matter goes that far, you will also be liable for all attorney fees and court costs .such and actions will also adversely affect your credit ratings.
