Ron Freeman Creditwize

Ron was referred to me by an acquaintance who told me he used to have a credit repair business but closed it down during the pandemic. He was apparently still doing credit repair on the side for a cheaper price so I contacted him. He sounded legitimate and was upfront with me that he had closed his business but said that he was willing to do the work at a cheaper price. I had gotten a quote from another credit company and he came in much lower at only $375. He said he would send out the information it needed a copy of my social security card and my license and he told me that he would be sending out letters to creditors on my behalf. He told me that my job would be to send the letters to him when I received them so he could continue the work. He said payment was due after he sent out the first round of letters. He sent me a screenshot of the mail receipts and I zelled him. I received one letter from a creditor and when I tried to contact Ron he disappeared. His phone is disconnected and his email is undeliverable. Man this guy is a real tool. If you’re going to run a scam, at least make a good profit. All that work for $375? What an [censored].

On February 13th 2020 I visit Rom Freeman, owner of credit wize at his office which was located on 300 S. 5Th St, Suite F, Oxnard Ca, 93030. His business reads credit counseling. He charged me $395.00 to assist me with removing negative/wrong information from my credit report. It was a one time fee and the results of his work will be done in 2 months. He stated that after 30 days information was going to start arriving from the 3 credit agencies showing the wrong information been removed.

On march 15 I visited his office to get an update as his phone was no longer in service. I found the office closed. I since then have visited his office 4 additional times and the office has been closed. Today 03/25/2020 I asked a person that works in an office next to his if they have seen him and her response was that he has not opened his office for 4 weeks and that a lot of angry people are looking for him.
