So, I called the number given and a man asked me if this was (first and last name) I did not immediately comply bc I thought it was a scam, After I yelled at him and he told me there was no reason to get "hostile" he then told me that he was with Crestwood Management and they were a debt collection company. He told me that In 2013 I had taken out a payday or personal cash loan for 500$ and that the loan was never paid back and the loan company had filed a civil suit against me. he then rattled off an old email address, a bank acct that I had a child support card with and some addresses that are known to me, but not my actual addresses. he also kept saying that was all evidence that the company had against me and that my email address had been verified by ip address. he also spouted off a company that I supposedly worked for but I have not worked for. He told me I was being sued for 1600$ and that I had until 5pm if I wanted to pay 625$ to keep from getting sued. He had enough info to make me believe it was an actual debt collection company, I knew that I didnt take out the payday loan, but thought that maybe someone else had. A girl did my taxes for me and she ended up getting the money put on a prepaid visa and actually stealing my tax refund. I know who got that info but I am not sure if this is connected.
