I received a text for 5 Hour Energy to advertise their logo on my car and I will make 500 a week. I responded to this asking how it works. I was always text never called . A Mr Bradley who they said was the hiring manager said that I had filled out that I was interested in putting a decal on my car and making 500 weekly. They ask me to confirm this information and send a picture of my car. They text me did I have a bank account. They said they would keep me updated with the tracking number and provide me with the installers number.They contacted me to verify my mailing address and sent me the UPS tracking number .They stated I would get 500 for advertising and 50 for gas . They said the check would be 2500. 550 would be for me and I would get the rest to the installer. They text me that UPS tried to deliver package but no one home so they left at a nearby business.I picked up UPS envelope and inside there was a cashiers check and attached a little piece of paper stating that I must send a text to 858-203-1667 and ask for Mr Morgan Williams for security purpose my name check account and check number. I contacted the bank the cashiers check was drawn on and spoke with a bank employee who verified the cashiers check account and routeing number and verified that the 2500 was in the account to cover the check.I explained the circumstances that I received the check and the gentleman said he cant speak on the company but the funds are available for the cashiers check. The next day I went to the bank with the cashiers check.The teller ran the check and ask me did I know Mr Bradley and had I ever met him? I told her no I never spoke just text him.The teller ask if I was supposed to send any of this check to someone else and I said yes . At that point she said that I had been scammed and gave me my identification and she told me I need to leave the bank now.I did this as a supplement to my income. I am handicapped and have several serious medical problems. I needed financial help. I felt that I was dealing with a real legitimate company,but all the time they were scamming me. I hope that I can help someone else not to get scammed and help to catch these criminals! I am 60 years old and never in my life did I think I would fall victim to this type of activity!
