This isn’t a legit job! As soon as I read the part about a check being mailed, I KNEW IT WAS A SCAM! This happened to me 5 years ago so I was positive this was the same situation. Please don’t try and cash this check because it not valid and they will ask you to just go ahead and paid for the equipment yourself and they will reimburse you. That’s how they operate and once they have your bank information they will take your money!

Scam Job

I recieved a text in response to my application on indeed. They asked me to attend a chat only interview on a 3rd party app. After a back and forth they told me I would hear back the next day if they were to move forward. They explained that all software and devices would be provided to me for the position. They had me sign the official job offer and send a screenshot of the signed offer. I instead sent back a screenshot without my signature and informed them that they misspelled my name. They then proceeded to email me a check to buy the items from their preferred vendor. I informed them that it would need to be sent as a money order, business check or cashier's check, not a weird check sent from a law office like this one if I were to move forward. I have not heard back.

I was reached out to by a Julie Morgan in regards to a client scheduling position available work from home at $35 hr. Which sounded great but then came the interview in which I was supposed to go to whatsup app and add a contact Mateo Lopez to be interviewed which I did. Interview went well was told they would send the information to HR and that I would here from them if they offered me the job. Which 3 days later they do but now I’m confused at the time of interview I was told they would supply all materials needed but in the job offer letter now they are stating that they will send me a check to buy the items which didn’t sit right with me. The offer letter was signed by a Diana Daniels but no physical address when I asked for a address I get a Yes.

175 Varick Street- New York, New York 10014 address which does not show a Cronos Group at the location. I have now declined employment because I feel it is a scam.

I received a text message asking me to add a certain email to my Hangouts account to discuss a possible job position. After much back-and-forth and me sending my name address and telephone number I was offered a job with incredible pay amazing benefits and and even better vacation pay. I was sent a contract that I needed to sign so I did not knowing if it was fake or not. I asked them to send me some thing to verify that this wasn’t fraudulent and they got very aggressive stating that this was an at will position and that if I did not want the position I could easily just turn it down. I thought this was very unprofessional especially for an organization of their nature. With that in mind I follow through just to see what would happen. Today they sent me an email stating I needed to get certain state of the art equipment in order to be able to Complete training and start my job. They would send me a check that I must cash via mobile deposit. This was definitely a red flag.
