I contacted a known acquaintance, Andrea Knox, that I previously used to work with for years as she recently became accredited to trade crypto and assist others. She said she could help me invest in the company platform, TheOKX Crypto, she started working for and is the Account Manager for. I told her the initial amount I had in Coinbase that I wanted help investing further which was $1,100. No mention was made of needing any extra money. She assisted me with transferring my money from Coinbase to her platform at The OKX and then afterwards told me I needed a minimum amount of $3000 to start trading; this was never disclosed prior to my initial transfer. I transferred $2000 from my savings into Coinbase, waited 7 days for it to be verified and released, then transferred the $2000 to The OKX again. The next day I received an email stating my account was suspended as their minimum amount needed to start investing was now $10,000. I contacted Andrea who stated I needed to invest another $7,000 before trading could begin. I requested information on how to withdraw my money and was told by Andrea as well as customer support that I could not withdraw my funds until my account had the required $10,000.
