The "breeder" dropped the puppy off at the transport company and then due to the cold weather, an "electronic crate" was required for the safety of the pet for $1250 and that it was just a deposit, so $1225 would be refunded upon the return of the crate. I thought it was a scam, but I was worried that if there actually was a puppy something would happen to her so I paid the deposit.
The next day, the puppy was supposedly on her way, but then had to stop in Indiana. At that point, a "Pet Life Insurance policy" would be required for another $900 (which would also be returned upon her arrival). At this point I was sure that it was a scam so that was the end. I told them that I would just call the airport and talk to the authorities to work out the issue. No further contact about the puppy was had after that and all the phone numbers given to me were disconnected.
