On 1/3/3028, I received an AOL e-mail, requesting completion of a survey, with the promise of receiving a watch & paying only the shipping/handling fee as a reward. Since AOL was used, I assumed the offer was alright. However, as I completed entering my Credit Card #, a pop-up appeared saying that they were also sending a necklace, which I didn't ask for. I tried to cancel the order, but could not get back to a page allowing that. I proceeded to try to reach them at both their phone number and support website, with miserable results. Of course, by then I knew I had been scammed, so I immediately reported this to my credit card company, who managed to stop further payment and gave me credit for the total S/H cost, with no further payment to be made to the scammer. Since then I received the order for both the watch and necklace, but the products are inferior in quality, so I will send them back to the sender, with no expectations of a refund. I'm reporting this as I have friends who have been receiving similar survey requests by both e-mail and telephone. I'm concerned that they will be tricked like I was. I am usually very cautious about using my credit card for an online purchase, but since this came from an AOL.com email, I assumed it was okay (although I know better now).
